We now have hundreds of stock designs to choose from.
In 2006 we launched POPsignage.com as a website that would allow garden centers to quickly create customized plant bench cards. The garden centers could download and print the bench cards or order directly from the site.
Initially, we had roughly 1,000 plant records and the ability for subscribers to add their own plant records. Today we have nearly 15,000 plant records that we created and we continue to add plants to the database weekly. Of course, our customers continue to 'add their plants from scratch' so the options are endless.
We have also added hundreds of 'Genus General Cards' with image collages of multiple varieties from a particular genus or genus species combination. For example, most garden centers would not put out a bench card for each variety of pansy, but they might want to put a general card up for 'Majestic Giant Pansies'.
We realized that our customers needed to order additional items to facilitate printing and installing their signs. Therefore, we started selling:~ Blank Sign Material~ Bench Card Sign Holders
As we continued to listen to our customers, we found they wanted to be able to purchase a complete sign system from us, so we became an authorized Xerox partner and started selling Xerox Phaser Laser printers (they offer the best UV resistance) and Xerox Laser toner.
We knew that if we wanted to be a full-service sign solution provider for Garden Centers, we would also need to offer larger signs. Therefore, in 2010 we started with a handful of posters such as:
The designs are available in two sizes for both Coroplast and Vinyl, 48" x 12" and 24" x 36" and Vinyl posters are also available in 18" x 36". We now have hundreds of posters to choose from.
In addition, we regularly create custom sizes and designs for our customers.
There are situtions where our stock sizes and designs just don't work. That's how our custom design and production evolved. We have printed all kinds of sizes and various types of material.
When the site was launched, the focus was exclusively on easily customizable plant bench cards.
In 2011 we introduced the ability for our subscribers to create 3.75" x 2.5" pot labels from the same plant records they use for their bench cards. They can easily match the colors on their bench card or select completely new colors. If they enter a SKU ID for the plant, the system can automatically create a barcode for scanning.
