The breakaway loop will give way with approximately 35-50 pounds of pressure which should keep your banner from ripping. We suggest using stronger connectors on across the top of your banner and in the top corner pockets and then the breakaway bungees for the rest so you have designed in a 'breakpoint'. They breakaway bungees should break in strong wind and then the banner will flap in the wind from the stronger connections at the top.
Of course, if you can take down your banners before a big storm.
